The holiday season is busy, filled with fattening foods and can also be a very stressful time so staying healthy is sometimes difficult.

These work together to make a perfect storm of sorts when it comes to our individual health and well being. But that’s no reason to abandon a fitness routine or completely let yourself go says health and wellness expert, Andrew Garrison.

He believes that you can enjoy the holidays while still respecting your body and mind through self-awareness and a little discipline.

Enjoy food, drink and movement this holiday season and you will enter the new year feeling great.

Some of Andrew’s suggestions for doing this are:

  • stay active
  • remember to hydrate with water
  • think critically about the food you eat
  • breathe (!)
