Hello,

Coach Bob Lindsey here.

When talking about communication, there are three basic questions you should be asking:

  1. How do you know that the message you are sending is being received and understood by the other person?
  2. How do you know that what the other person wants you to understand is what you are understanding?
  3. How do you know that the person you are teaching or mentoring is actually learning?

Allow me to explain how you can answer these questions and help ensure that proper communication is taking place. By answering these questions you can find out if your communication methods are effective or if you need to rethink your approach to the situation.

});

Now that you know what you should be asking and how to find the answers to these questions, is this something you will try? How do you verify the effectiveness of the communications that you participate in?
