This is Gary Klugiewicz posting another great www.radiohealthjournal.net radio program. This one deals with communication training for your child, specifically the benefits of talking with your baby – not in baby talk – but in full sentences.

More importantly is how you talk with them.

Directive language, i.e., telling, commanding, yelling is not helpful and, in fact, can hurt the child’s development. It would seem that the motor neurons that Andrew Garrison told us about impacts communication – even if you don’t understand the language or, for that matter, any language.

I now have to go to the bookstore to pick up a copy of the book “War & Peace” so I can begin building my 1 and 3 year old grandchildren’s vocabulary.

Check out this Radio Health Journal program. If you have young children, I promise it will be worth your time.

Let me know what you think of this communication training for children.
