Let’s look at the value of silence. When we learn to hold our tongue rather than interfere in something that is clearly none of our business we learn the value of silence.

But, silence can be more cutting than cruel words or angry rage when used deliberately to punish.

Today’s reminder:

What message does my silence communicate? When I use silence to hurt someone else I always hurt myself, so I will remember to communicate my silence not as hostility or anger but as an expression of value.
